That's no good - only heat shrink tubing will work properly.

I thaink I need some of that there shrinkie dinkie stuff. Man I should have looked at this thread sooner. You talk about a bunch of pains in the a$$es...
 
if it was me, id throw it in my sandblaster, and take it down to get powder coated. or at the very least use a shake and shoot spray can.

yeah i ended up spraying it with black and just sprayed over it every time it needed a touch up lol....
