i have a t maxx hummer body thats not it to bad of shape. but the inside was painted a nice lime green color but they guy who gave it to me decided to paint the outside flat black and it looks like crap and its still very sticks. i dont know what he used but i need to get this stuff off cuz i tried to scrap it off and got some but its not a good way of doing it for sure. its a really nice color underneath but i just need a good way to get the crappy black paint off the outside of the lexan body.

help me please:D

Thanks

Some recommend brake fluid. I've never tried it but I hear it works. But it also depends on the paint that is used. I think you'll find that most of us would rather buy a new body than to deal with trying to strip PITA paint.

its on the outside and I'm pretty sure that its spray paint. so i hit it with some brake cleaner and it came right off the outside. so it seems like its not lexan paint or it would be a PITA to get off. i sprayed it down with brake cleaner. waited a few min and in one fail swoop, most of it was off. i dont think that would do the same if it was lexan paint. so to me it seems like its just regular krylon or something of that sort. i dont have any brake fluid. but brake cleaner is doing a pretty good job right about now.

Thanks Candyman

Brake fluid works on lexan paint but it takes a long time and enquires alot of scrubbin. If you can find "ELO" (Easy lift off) that stuff works AWESOME!

i wanted to keep the inside paint which is lexan, a nice lime green color, but must have been painted over with regular spray paint on the outside. came of very easily with brake cleaner, and carb/throttle cleaner

I'm kinda suprised the carb cleaner didnt eat threw the plastic..Howd you apply it?

hey mattyfats, how long did it take to come off? i used spray paint on my body and I've tried brake fluid and carb cleaner and spent about an hour trying to get some of it off and nothing ever happened.
