What do you guys like? Since I got into this hobby I have stuck with Parma Fascolor. I tried the Pactra stuff once and had bad luck with spiderwebbing and couldn't figure out how to use it. I tried various amounts of pressure and tips and nothin worked. Well, my wife bought me a handful of Pactra paints for X-mas so I thought I'd give it a try again. I tell you what... when thinned down (1:1) this stuff is faaarrrr superior to Fascolor. It's thin consistancy sprays a much finer spray but doesn't run like Fascolor would if you tried to thin it in the same manner. It's thin consistancy also helps with consistant spraying because the paint doesn't build up on the tip of my needle. I recommend everybody using Parma Fascolor to switch to Pactra Racing Finish.

you know what... THAT'S the stuff I was having trouble with, the Acryl. But I was having the same issues with the Racing Finish stuff when I started this morning. I wanted to test it out on some soda bottles before I ruin a body. I gonna spray that 1/18 X-citer body I thought I was going to spray for the contest. I suppose I can consider it practice

Nope, I was wrong. I dug up the stuff I tried last year and it's the same stuff my wife got me for Christmas. I guess I havn't tried the Acryl

I haven't been using an airbrush that long (got it for x-mas) but I'd go with the Pactra Acryl hands down. I had a couple bottles of Fascolor and compared the two and I hated the Fas. I found it aggravating to use. Also seems to me that the Pactra can be sprayed at a much lower pressure.

I use Fakolor and like it alot. I've used Spaz and Pactra as well. I've also noticed that pactra seems to be more finicky with the air pressure, if not set up perfetc it tends to blow in webs. Once I got it dialed in it was good though. My vote still went for Faskolor. Seems the most consistant for me.

that's what I was told as well but I was never able to spray it straight out of the bottle w/o getting webs. I tried varied pressures from 5 to 25 or so. once you thin it out you can spray it any any pressure and it doesn't run as easily as you would think. I was testing this the other day and I was thinning it out at a 1:1 ratio.

I have always used the FasKolors, but the more I try the Pactra, the happier I am with the results.. One thing I learned, is not to use Faskolor for shading... It never does a nice job.. Do not thin your createx/Faskolors with water. Use clear windex or a touch of Isopropyl alcohol. The clear windex works great.
SpazStix window tint, is great for drop shadowing..

I am almost exclusively FasKolor. However, I have tried the Pactra Acryl and it is pretty good. It's inherently thin which makes it easy to spray at low pressure. The one thing that I really really like about FasKolor is the squeeze bottles, though. Makes handling the paint so much easier.

frustrating as hell ain't it? The main problem I always have is that when I'm trying to use very little paint (more air) it clogs up on the end of the needle. PITA!
