velocity 17

Hey guys I am new to nitro rc I just spent $400 on a duratrax overdrive st I think I might have messed up, should have done more research before I bought but my question is, I would like to get more power and speed out of my truck, it comes with the velocity 17 engine. What engines can I buy to replace this engine without any chassis mods, and is there anything else the gives more power besides engine? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

dude!!!! you wasted a :censored: load of money for a crappy car not trying to be mean but where did you buy it from. man you should have at least gone with a savage, bought mine off of ebay for $350, take the car back and look for a truck on ebay. you will not think twice

hey no crap I have a savage for sale right now check the for sale and trade, duratrax is also known as duratrash, try to take that thing back and get my truck, or any other truck for that matter!

I'm not even interested in a monster truck, I wanted a 4x4 stadium truck and that is why I bought that one, it was the only one I could find local, My question was can I fix it up and make it faster?

you could put the os .15 cvrx in it with out any problems.

Before spending money on a new engine, try different gearing.
Besides, you'll need that extra money on broken parts. Yup, former duratrash owner here. There's a reason they have free replacement on many of their parts - they break alot. Good luck with it though.

Just have fun...Beat the hell out of this truck...when you become more knowledgeable..I am sure you will be upgrading to another truck. I would take a look at the Losi XXX-NT RTR..... great deal
