ok, I was finally able to get out and fire up the new os15,I left everything alone and pulled, pulled, pulled! Finally it fired but will not stay running, checked the settings again and pulled, still will not stay running! the only way it would run is if I opened up the throttle stop screw far more open than it recomends, but then of course it idles way too high,I know this is a great mill and I am not excpecting it to make me pancakes or anything, I just want to know what I am doing wrong, every one else I know who has an os says they usually fire right up out of the box! Cmon! some one please HELP! I wanna go out and play!

If you're able to get it running, but have to bump up the idle, there's nothing wrong with that. Just make sure the idle is set to a point where it will keep running for about 30 seconds. But don't let it scream at idle. You'll have to blip the throttle now and again to clear it out. When I broke in my OS, it was really tempermental for about the first 5 tanks. But if you follow break-in by the book, it will behave soon enough. Just make sure you keep your needle settings rich for the first few tanks and keep an eye on your engine temp.

Thanks c-man I did just that and its fine now! and I got the blisters to prove it! Tempermental??????? Thats for sure!

You should have seen my finger the first few tanks through mine. I had to have Band-Aids on them just to get through. Even wrapped paper towel around the starter handle just to make it tolerable!!!!! It was horrible. But trust me, it gets better. After about 5 tanks it starts pretty easily...

ya i hate that about new engines. try my xtm 24.7 they compression in that b**** is incredible. i could barely pull it the first couple of tanks.

My mistake. Was thinking of of .15 CV-X not .15 CV-R.
