I've got a .15 cv-r os motor with about a half gallon through it has great pinch left and starts and runs strong BUT, after running up to temp I can not get it to idle it will always die unless i keep giving it throtle. "for intance if i spin out or put it against the wall if i do not keep reving it the motor will die."

You need to raise the idle adjustment with the trim set to zero, and the brake engaged.
I need to know how it takes off from a dead stop and then I can tell you if you need to richen or lean the LSN.

the idle is set very high. allmost as high as you can set it. the truck takes off very well from a dead stop like i say it runs great all around and never gets to hot runs around 225. "ps i can start it cold and it will idle just as i said once it gets warm it will not unless i keep the throtle up and the truck moving" if i bring the truck in to check the temp it will die with in seconds and the temp will read 200-210. I have checked for air leaks and silocned every thing. only thing i could do is replace all the o rings now i guess.

Could also be an improperly adjusted low speed needle. Many people make the mistake of using the idle screw to compensate for an improperly adjusted lsn.

When it idles cold, does the clutch 'chatter'?
If you don't have an air leak anywhere, I would guess that the LSN is set a little too lean since it idles so much faster after it warms up.

thanks for the help i will adjust the low speed a little more rich. PS the clutch is engaged the whole time its running that is how high I have the idle!! I just put the truck on the ground after it is running and then it will not move unless i give it a throttle "the weight of the truck keeps it from moving but if i pick the truck up the wheel start moving. thanks for all the help.

that is the whole problem the idle is high at cold and then when its warm it will die if i let the truck come to a stop completly!!!!!

got it to idle but i have to hold the brakes or it while idle around about 5mph. if i turn down the idle to keep the truck still it dies what the F?

You need to find the proper balance point between the LSN and the idle adjustment. You need to do it with the idle trim set all the way down, and your brakes applied. Take off the air cleaner and look down the neck till your opening is approximately 1-2 mm open. That should be the starting point for your idle.

yea i like the picture i do understand the idea there. BUT my motor will not idle if it set that low and if it does it will die after it gets warm truct me i have played with idle alot to try and get it right. I have to have the idle set high to keep it running!
