OS .18TM glowplug question

Well... running higher nitro generally means you need a cooler plug, but there isn't a cooler plug that is long enough for that engine.

This is the only one I could find at tower that's a "long" plug that is anything but hot. It's a medium temp. Traxxas HD Long

The TRX 2.5 and OS 18TM use longer plugs than the typical long plug. Thats why the 18TM comes with the LC3 which was designed for the 2.5 and the OS 18TM..

I'm not saying you can't just buy an OS #5 and not use it, but I doubt that it will sit flush inside the piston dome like it should.

More than likely. You might be getting early detonation which is hard on the engine and robs power.

Like I said, it's only recommended that you use a cooler plug with 30% or higher and/or with BB engines.

MC-MC59 will work as well. I prefer them over the LC3, but either way I'd go with the McCoy or the OS over the Traxxas plug.

Glow plug vs Fuel

Using o donnell 30% fuel with OS # 8 Glow plug w/o shim >>>Excellant response and cooling at 90 Degrees with 70% Humidity in this area...Real winner....
