Hey Guys,
I started my Christmas shopping a little early this year. My LHS had a 25% off sale this weekend and I couldn't pass it up. I ended up ordering a pair of Slashes, minus the radios and recievers. I got a hell of a deal, and I didn't pay much more than what one Slash would cost. I still have the brand new radio and mico AM setup out of my ERevo that I can put in my stepson's, and I am sure I have a reciever laying around for mine. My stepson is going to flip this year! I am so excited. I know I ended up buying one for me too, but I figured this would be a good truck to start teaching him how to wrench on and for the price I just couldn't resist. I have a real good feeling the aftermarket will be kind to this platform and I hope to be able to hop up our trucks together. He is so ready for a "big" RC as he puts it. He has beaten the hell out of his 18B and the only thing I have had to replace was a wing mount (that was broken while I was playing with it!) and a new set of rubber since he wore the spikes off of his first set. I hope he will be happy with it. It looks like a real fun truck to drive.
I know I probably should not have gotten one for myself.... in fact I know my wife isn't going to like it, considering I just bought an ERevo in August. It just looked like so much fun, and really inexpensive, I just had to have one too.
