I see no reason why not, the opti drive is only a sensor that detects the truck being in motion or not... thus not allowing it to reverse the transmission from its direction of travel

Yes it will work. I am not a personal fan of Opti-drive but all good...plug it up and run.

I have actually used the opti-drive with a Spektrum radio and it worked okay until my reverse gear blew up. So I guess you could say I'm not a big fan of reverse.
when i installed my spectrum on my revo it wouldn't play nice with the opti-drive so i took it out. . .everything still works fine, i just have to make sure that I'm not moving when i put it in reverse
