Hello everyone...

Besides it being very loud!!!!!!!!!! :8-0:
What are the draw backs to running without a pipe "open header"

No back pressure to your tank. I would imagine your engine running lean after a while. Please post pic of it when it"shuts down" I AM KIDDING. Don't do it.

Yeah, it also can get dirt in it... Besides the loudness and the backpressure issue and the chance of getting dirt in the engine... Then there is also running too lean because the backpressure isnt there to push the fuel into the engine... I dunno, i have ran my stock GT without a pipe on it for about 2 mins... overheated.. it was way too loud.. It also lost power.

yea cool... I was in the middle of a awsome session and the rubber broke on the header.. ran it for about two tanks with no pipe... super loud!!!!

You don't get pressure for the tank to push the fuel in and these 2-cycle engines depend on the reflex wave of the air changing pressure in the pipe to make the fuel stay in the cylinder. Otherwise, the raw fuel comes out of the exhaust and doesn't get burned inside the combustion chamber like it should.

Long story short, no pressure for the tank will make it lean. No reflex effect keeping the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber also makes it lean. So, it will be loud, lean, hot and low on power.
