Well, I'd been toying around with getting a truggy for a while and recently unloaded a bunch of stuff on eBay. I've been watching and throwing low bids out on LSP's and watching others just in the event something off the wall came along. It happened, ended up getting a NIB LSP-R for $400. Wife took it well so now I gotta sneak in a mill and some servo's and rx and I'll be set. I said last year I wouldn't run three different classes anymore, now I guess I will have to eat my words.

Congrats!

I just bought a secondhand pro and I'm gonna resell my RR....I loved the RR ...should really love the pro.

Keep us up to date on the final package.

Mr T

I need to know jetmechG550 where the heck are your pics of the LSP? I am ready to pull the trigger and pick one up and I need a little push to close the deal. Let's see that ride sometime soon, maybe some closeups of it naked. Thanks. :)

I used to, I ran one most of last summer. What kind of info are you looking for, I'm sure I could help you out!

I'm wondering why people upgrade to kingz chassis braces as soon as they buy them? Are the stock braces that bad? I am only bashing and running on my track with it. I don't have the time to race and this ride seems to be great for what I want to do with it. I had a Savage and sold it due to the fact it was not very good on the track.

Yea the stock bracing isn't very good. I used revo push rods for bracing. The chassis has alot of flex, some say its a good thing, others don't like it. Kingheadz does some great stuff. You don't need all of their stuff, but IMO the chassis braces are needed.

No prob!

If you have any other questions I can help you, if I don't know the answer i know where to find it.

Well I did do alot of research on this forum about the Lightning Stadium and I don't care for the Hot Bodies engine. I also wanted a mostly Aluminum ride. Which would lead me to the Pro-r. The Pro RTR was lacking a couple of major componants according to a thread I had read on here yesterday. So the only part missing was why they were upgrading the chassis braces. So,I will first run it with the stock braces and see if I like the chassis flex. Then I can make a better judgement.

I've read that people are really liking that pro-r. and for the price you can't go wrong. Many parts are interchangeable with the k series kyosho buggies. You'll like it!

I agree, the price is right. Now I need to look for an engine in the $150 range. I'm not racing, so I can not justify spending 2 bills or more on an engine. My wife has been wanting me to buy another truck, so I can bash it around the yard for my kids to enjoy. That makes me a very happy camper when my wife suggests it. I'm going to pickup a Hitec 645 for steering and the HPI SF-2 for throttle/brake. It's a cheap servo ( 20.00 on ebay) but it has better torque than some at twice the price. Now back to the engine, maybe an HPI 4.6 or an XTM. Any thoughts on this?

I'm going to suggest the SH .28. If you do a search for it here I posted a link to a place where you can get it for 130 shipped to your home. It has isane power, Your going to want to go up in cb. I used a 16 tooth and it was perfect. I was running quicker laps then a MBX prospec with a modded p5. Its impressive!

Congrats to you ... Great Truggy. I'm gonna chime in for the stock mill. It's not the baddest engine out ther by any means...but I raced mine for half a season (club racing..nothing big time..very few $400 mills) .. sucker treated me just fine!

Mr T

Good call on the SH .28. That will do just fine. Last year a guy showed up at the track on practice night and it was very impressive. I will have to wait until the weather get's better here in Buffalo to buy it and break it in. I am also trying to get an onroad kit to build for the winter. I'm going through withdrawl not being able to run my MBX-5. It just sits there and keeps calling out to me. Start meeee Start meeee.

I've got a couple pix in my gallery I just put up. It's on the stand and I don't have a mill yet, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do as far as that. Our season is still at least a month and a half away at best. Debating between the P5, S5, WS7 x3 or if I want to drop some more cash on another JP. I think I'm going to use one of the Revo pushrods since I have one left that didn't break from my Revo.

That is a sweet deal for 4 bills. I'm still looking on Ebay but to no avail. I will probably just pick mine up from Towerhobbies. We will see in the next two weeks.

Check with Bruce (RushRC), I think he is selling them. I just stumbled on this one and the opening bid was low and I ended up with it. Wife took it quite well too.
