Hey guys i had a session with the car last night and it was running excellent and then tried again today and its running front drive only even thought if you spin the rear wheels all 4 spin. Anyone got any ideas please?

Also have removed the rear diff and re-greased it.

Ok all grub screws are present and accounted for but its still not running 4wd only front?

Must be your rear diff. It can't be hard to work out. Is your shaft turning for the rear wheels to the diff ? If it is, your in diffs ;) if not, look further to see why

Had the same problem but was on front. When you turn by hand, there's enough friction in the connection points to turn the wheel, but when the force of the motor kicks in and a pin is missing it wont turn. Test this by holding rear stationary while turning front and see where the motion stops. Like mud said, the most likely and most common spot is the grub connecting the dif to the drive shaft. This is what was missing from mine.

It is important to find and repair as until you do everytime you hit the throttle you are applying twice as much force on the front that would normally be distributed between front and back.

All the grub screws are in place and very tight with threadlock. Also when you spin the front wheels the drive stops in the middle so now rear wheels turn and if you spin 1 of the rear wheels it freewheels but spin the other and it does the fronts but not the freewheel one? I'm gonna break it down tonight and ill come back with pictures so i can be pointed in the right direction.

Its ok I've got it sorted it was a grub screw in the rear wheel drive shaft that had come loose even though i thought i'd tightened them all up really tight. Its up for sale now as I'm moving onto a Savage so thanks for your help guys.
