well i was driveing the sav today tuneing for the new pipe and just killing time. well i went to turn around in the driveway next to me and cut it a little short and drove off the culvert. it nosed down, the bumper stuck in the mud and over it went. top down in the WATER!!! :8-0: :opps:

well i run over, take a picture,

and fish it out. the mill shut off and the fail safe was hard brake.

the air filter was full the engine was full, and the radio box was full. i took the engine apart, dousched it with aro and sealed it up. cleaned the reciever, failsafe, and switch, with alcohol. and cleaned out the air filter.

so far the radio equipment is working correctly. (kind of a good thing i had to take it apart as i had a pinched antenna wire0.

i havent fired the mill yet. I'm waiting on the air filter to dry so i can put it back together. but it looks ok and the truck wasn't at full opperating temp yet.

the good news is with the new pipe its running alot better, i just hope there isnt any permenant damage.

i just had to share my pain. man i was cussing the whole time i was running over there and all the way back to the garage!

edit: i forgot to say i also wd40ed the axle carriers.

OMG! Don't let JesseG see that. He'll hurl for sure.
Looks like a long weekend of drying and oiling for you. Well, have fun!

ill:puke:. hope your savage is ok. atleast it didnt fall in a pile of crap. have fun drying it.

Could be worse man; it coulda went WOT off a jump into a horses backside (my GT did that into one of my ex's horses).

LOL i like how you ran and took a pic first... cuz thats the most important.... then fished it out :D man, that sucks! Hopefully everythings ok :)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

You friggin' DINK!

I'm like Buggyracer! Take picture THEN fish truck out of the drink!!! Hmmmmmm.

Seriously though, too bad, brother! Sounds like you did everything to save it, so I have no doubt it'll fire up for ya! Make for a short day.

But man was it FUNNY!!

hell yea man i had to get a pic. when it rolled i started running i was like "curse curse curse curse" then it dies right befor i got there. i try to move the throtle and its on hard brake. so i was like well, can't get any worse better snap a pic.

but on the good side its running alot better with the pipe. well WAS running alot better. i just hope its ok. i can't afford a new mill right now.

thats it no more wet weather running for B guess i better go buy some baloones.

You should be fine. I did something similar with my xxx-nt 4 years ago... it went over a hill and I heard this blood curdling "blub blub blub...blub" sound... I get over the hill and realize all I can see is the antenna sticking out of a 8 inch deep puddle...

After doing all the stuff you did, it fired right up without so much as a fart. Although, I had my receiver/servo's sealed... but the engine was fine. Got to love OS 15 CV-R's...

wow, that would suck. I usually run with my body on though. I like how you take a pic before you grab your car out of the water its soaking in. lol.

damn dude! i was just there! i leave you alone for 5 minutes and you submarine your savage. that's it, from now on you store your r/c's at MY house until you're old enough to take care of them. and you better put the dog up for adoption before you kill him too.
oh yeah, congratulations on getting at least one of those hexes unstuck, anyway.

Great job getting the pic LOL. If you cleaned everything good the mill should be ok. I drove one of my Maxx's in the water a few times and it always fired up after a good cleaning.

Good Luck

Youll be fine man..that happened to me a few years ago with the storm...water wont hurt your mill as long as you break it down and dry everything out.

I hope your electronics dont give you fits later.

Hah hope u dont have any problems with ur rx.. something like that happend to me but it was with my rs418ss, i lost signal while i was driving it down my street at like 20mph and it swirved and hit a curb flew over it and flew 6ft down cuz there was a little hill with rocks right into a little puddle, and the thing was still running...lol but i ended up hitting a puddle a half an hr later and screwed my rx up:-(... but i got a new one so I'm set now.
