I want to make my old E-Maxx, the non water proof one, into a brushless. I had plans at one time to try another project on making a Brushless set up but that went away(aka sold the roller). So here I am with this E-Maxx that I have yet to find any upgrade able drive shafts for. The only ones I have found so far that are metal and not plastic are for the latest one. Before you say it, I can't pull out the chash for the new one unless I can find one in good condition for $100 lol good luck with that I am sure. Any-hoo, I am going to try and research again for anything that will fit this thing. If any of you have an idea on what parts will work for the drive shafts and such please let me know. Thanks.

well i dont seewhy you can't throw a brushless in there and you dont have to go overkill with some $300 brushless motor that will just smoke the tires the first run but i think the drive shafts should hold up

Take a piece of steel music wire thats the same diameter as the inside of the shaft and JB weld it in place. Or even a piece of wooden dowl rod works good too.

I have an original E Maxx. Bought the first week it was released. I put new 3.3 driveshafts and hubs on it, grey bulk heads and a 2075 steering servo. It came to me with a locker, so I picked up a diff at the lhs. 3.3 tires and I feel like it's pretty updated; the only draw back is it isn't water proof. 2 mod motors and some 4500 packs and she cooks pretty good. Total investment= A wasted '92 Tauras sho and $120.
