461, fuelie heads without holes, 186 were basically same, w holes. I think there was a 327/350 version 041. All considered 300hp factory heads. I had a set of worked 186 on a 30 over punched 350, 3/4 cam, etc. Had my hands on a set 461 one time but had to let em go. There were angle plug styles & aluminum double humps too, also called camel humps.
Yessir, I’m very familiar. 🤙 guessing he misread double humps as “double pumps” maybe? Referring obviously to some variation of the 4150 double pumper, but preferred Holley “big bores” guessing a 4500series Dominator.. I SUPPOSE he could be talking about Holley heads, but I’ve never once seen a fairly later model Holley Systemax head used in any kind of oval racing.. Anyone competitive would’ve been running a Brodix, Bow tie, or MAAAAAAYBE a Dart… And I’ve never in my life heard a cylinder head referred to as a “big bore”.. Big VALVE, sure. Big PORT, fair enough, but not big bores. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

True. The next motor I built was a early nickel 4 bolt main block, 30 over, FT's, Vortec heads, 0.015" head gaskets, single pattern torque cam, 474 lift, high rise dual plane. Quadra Jet mounted backwards. Went in a mud truck. Had crazy pull in it. The Q-jet backwards wouldn't bog because their float bowls are opposite end of a Holley & I wanted the earlier Jet w 780cfm. Damb thing was rowdy on 44 boggers & Dana 60F Dana 70 rear, 35 spline axles.

Sounded like a well matched setup, and REAL axles! Can’t count how many times I’ve heard 9”, and “Heavy Duty” (do whaaaat?!?🙄) 44 is getting it done..🤣🤣🤣
