OK guys you have all been a great souce of advice in the past, time for your next pop quiz!!!

I have tuned my 3.3 correctly (I think) after your advice last week, however now I appear to have developed a oil leak?

Now engine wise, the only mod I have made is a Trinity pipe, I know that the eng is a dry sump and lubrication is provided via the Nitro mix. My revo is running on 25% but now it is spewing clear and clean oil out of the exhaust that is getting quite messy. Its dirtying up all my shiney new bling!!. I assume the oil is the added lube in the nitro mix that is not being burnt in the combustion process, but how much is normal guys.

Have a good weekend.

What brand fuel are you using? Maybe the fuel sat too long, maybe it's a fouled glow plug, or maybe the carb needs a tuning. If nothing else works I'd suggest trying a different fuel if there is that much oil being unburnt.

I run 20% Byron's Fuel, and I just have a very tiny bit of oil seeping out of the exhaust.

Some oil coming out of the exhaust is normal, if it is excessive you may be running it to rich or you may be running fuel with higher oil content.

The trinity pipe may not be sealing real well on the exhaust port. You may want to check your header gasket and make sure it isn't torn and possibly do a search for people with the pipe and see if they have found alternate gaskets that are less prone to damage/leaking.

If the oil is all over your header/starter housing/chassis, it's more than likely leaking where the header meets the engine.

Mate you are spot on. I pulled the donk tonight to fit a new Eng mount (cracked) and some sway bars, and noticed that the rubber was torn almost 3/4 of the way around the lip. After fitting the sway bars I noticed that the exhaust was fouling on the top of one of the pivot points from the new sway bars. Now I am going to look around for a new exhaust that is side mounted. This will get me clear of the suspension setup.
I will let you know what happens
Thanks for the help

Glad I could help you find your source. I wish I could help you find a better gasket/header for that pipe.

As for a side pipe config, HPI makes one that a lot of guys use for the side pipe setup. You could easily use the trinity pipe pointed at the ground as a side pipe as well. It has a long neck where it connects to the header which a normal silicone coupler would zip tie too nicely.

Here's the header for a side config: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFAZ9&P=7

And it's shorter cousin:

I think most guys used the longer one though. I never tried it... got rid of the revo long before the pipe/header combo got on my nerves. I was running a fantom works steel pipe with the OS 18TM header, so I didn't have near the problems your having. Well... until I landed hard on the rear and the header/pipe came apart... bygones. With that combo, it sounded like a motocross bike with nitrous! (lots of RPM's and very "ting ting tingy")
