How's everybody?
I just bought a Kyosho Inferno 7.5 Sport, and the engine is locked up.I plan on learning and trying my hand at racing. The buggy is already built for racing from front to back I don't think theres a stock part on the chassis except maybe the fuel tank.My questions are will a OFNA Picco .28 fit?The motor bolts stright to the chassis without a motor mount. My other question is what would be the best replacement engine? Thanks.

Yes it will fit but a .28 on a buggy is just too much torque. You need an engine that cranks out higher RPM like a .21. The tires on a buggy are narrower so the power put down by a .28 for the most part is just wasted unless you just want to drift with it.

** On second thought you will need an aftermarket engine mount. Kyosho played dirty on that vehicle and built the mount into the engine. Nasty trick that leaves you stuck with that engine.

Oh great now what do I do?Fix this one or try to find a motor mount.I have looked for a motor mount with no luck. What about the Hyper .21?

Does any body know what replacement motor there is or a motor mount that will let me replace it with a better motor?

The guy I bought it from said a OFNA Hyper .21 is a replacement, but if it is does it have enough power to race my buggy?

GS21R replacement

What motor is a direct replacement for the Kyosho GS21R.?The motor bolts straight to the chassis,on my Kyosho Inferno 7.5 Sport. Please Help.:\

Unless the Hyper .21 has a built in motor mount that fit the kit then it can't be a direct drop in. IDK what you would do in a situation like that except maybe take it down to your LHS that has someone that works on kits for a living and see if he can come up with some ideas on a mount that might be compatible with the kit. Other than that I'm not sure what you could do.

Thank you Wolf.I instead of giving up I let it sock in fuel for a while, then I took the pull start off and put a socket on the one way bearing and gave it a little budge and Wa-La it is now running like a new motor and tearing up grass.I am lucky this time. Thanks Man
