So I'm about to place a nice order, two piccos a tekno wing mount and wing and a few other odds and ends. So why is the ofna mount not recomended? And which mount is recomended? Thanks

With the ofna mount your limited with what CB and spur gears you can use. I've heard the new era mount for the Picco has more adjustments but they're hard to find.

ok thanks. and it is the same exact motor for the maxx and the revo other than the mount correct?

I found this, is there a reason why its cheaper than the others i found? Or is it just a good deal? And that will work in mt revo right?http://www.ebay.com/itm/290752742136

Yes just the mount is different between the Maxx and Revo. use the stock flywheel/clutch, header and starter if you like.
That's the standard .26 max you have linked to, the .26 max red dot will cost a little more.

I thought the traxxas mounts were weak thats why I used the ofna mount
Is it true you can't use a bump start with a new era mount??
There is another mount out there too I think its called qconcept or something , just as hard to locate as new era
You can dremel out the ofna mount a bit to get a bit more adjustment out of it

Not really that much .2-.3 hp more and the reddot revs a bit harder
It seems a case of since your spending the money on a new motor you may as well get the red dot for 20 bucks more
