I hated that POS and i wouldnt put much faith in this one either just my opinion tho.

You hit the nail on the head. Violator on roids. Still kingpin up front, not good. They better be selling this thing cheap.............

Actually the CRT came with Front Kingpins as well, however they are leaps and bounds ahead of what the old Violator came with. I was a bit shocked when I opened the kit to find them, but so far so good. I haven't read of any kingpin issues on the CRT yet, so maybe the same will apply for this trug.

I am not sure what you guys mean by the violator isnt good, but I have one and it isnt all that bad. I think it is better than my savage... if it faster, easier to drive, and flys better and maybe I am wrong but I think it is also stronger.

the violator isn't too bad...it's basically a 9.5 w/ wider arms/larger mill and the kingpin steering knuckles....the kingpins aren't the toughest setup in the world......if you smash one just replace the front suspension w/ a PBS or C-hub setup

Hey Plaid,

Do you think Ofna might have put the kingpins in as a weak point?, or do you think the kingpin was just a cheap solution? When I got the CRT, I was a bit surprised to see kinpins instead of ball bearings. Just curious as to your thoughts.

Mutilator

To be honest that looks like an Ofna (Violator based) Blazer ST that has borrowed more than a little design and parts from the Jammin' X1-CRT. Seeing as both are Hong Nor products it makes sense.
I own an Ofna Blazer and an HN (Jammin') X1-CRT and I know both trucks fairly well.
That .32 motor must have some grunt. Can't wait too see the BHP output. It probably wont rev as high as a decent .21 but should offer enough torque to put a grin on anyone's face

That is strange the OFNA site says it has a hard coated chassis. :ponder2:

The Jammin is C-HUB not Kingpin.
The mutilator chassis should be 6061 3mm aluminum.

just bought ofna mutilator . runs great ..fast would be nice if they had a metal chassis ( plastic one gets scratched easily !!)
Sure you don't mean the stone guards are plastic? I have never heard of an 1/8th scale rig from Ofna having a plastic chassis.
