I have a T Maxx with the Ofna Macstar .28 motor that I bought onm ebay. Does anybody know the factory base setting on the midrange screw on the carb??I looked on Ofna's site, they specified NOT to touch this setting.....:confused:too late. They dont say where it should be. If anyone can shed some light on this subject Id greatly appreciate it. Also any tuning tips for this motor would be great. Thanks in advance

I checked the OFNA forum and didn't find anyone who had the settings...

Most engines will run with 4 turns out from bottom on the HSN and flush with the LSN. The MSN should be flush as well. At least on all the engines I've read about that have a MSN...

Wow!! fast reply. Thanks
Thats about where it is set. Once I get the stock settings down do I tune this for performance the same as I do my T maxx 3.3?

For the most part. IME, BB's prove to be a bit more forgiving with tune. Especially if you've only run SB engines. You get quite a bit of power out of them with a rich tune. They take a little longer to warm up though, so keep that in mind when running/tuning it.
