Odonels vs. Top Fuel

You should always use after-run oil.

I guess you could say all nitro fuel has rust inhibitors in it because they all have oil in them for lubrication but like rob said once your done driving for the day you should always put a few drops of ARO in your motor, your motor will thank you for it...lol

Ok you guys have convinced me to try something other than the Top Fuel. If this many guys (who know what they are talking about) say the other brands are better, I gotta listen and give them a try. I'm going to my LHS today at lunch to get a gallon. Now that I have my temp gun, tuning should be a much easier process also.

yepp I'm going to make the switch as well after this motor gives up

Well I bought a gallon of Odonnels 20% and was starting to use that instead of the Top Fuel. My rear diff problem has keep me from finishing the tuning of the motor, but I can't believe how different the smell is. I was starting to think I was burning up something, then I realized it was the nitro smell without all the oils in it............ I like it!! I'm sure once I get the rear diff sorted out and get it tuned I'm going to agree with all of you.
Oh yeah, it was also $5 a gallon cheaper.

LOL...true! I just got back from my LHS and they do have Trinity 20% for $27 a gallon. For only a dollar more than what I'm paying now, I think I'll make the change to Trinity. As for Odonels, I'm waiting for a call back to tell me the per gallon charge cause they only stock quarts.

Well, you can alway request the LHS get in what you want.
Which Trinity fuel do they have? They have several blends. The 20% Platnium would be just fine for you, but may be a little more finiky to tune. I have used it before in a small block and it was just fine on race day!

I run O'Donnell 20% Race Fuel in my GT2, I payed $28 a gallon for my fuel, just be sure to run after oil in the carb and cylinder after use for the day.

I went to my LHS today and noticed that fuel went up $5 a gallon across the board (except for Traxxas). Oh well, I'm still happier with O'Donnels over Top Fuel.

Yea, We're going to see an increase in fuel costs. Because of the Nitro shortage going on now.And probably only 20% available for a few months.

Oh joy! Time to start filling the change jar again.

I've used O'Donnell before in the past but my LHS does not stock much of it, but just started to use Trinity monster 20% and love it.
