just like it says i am in need of a new motor for my buggy and i think i would like to pick up a v spec i have heard great higns about them and i was wondering if there is anything better out there for less or the same amount of money i would like it if my lhs can get them in so if you have links then please post them here tell me the pros and cons also of the different motors and if this is a good idea thanx:breakdown

Take a look at the P5X too, they are under 300, and a great engines. I run an older P5.

well i have heard they run great and are very pwoerfull and are farely easy to tune but the one thing i can't get over is they are not warrented by os so what if something happens to the motor then I'm screwed but i would like to know a few other motors and see witch one is the best bang for the buck

Lets see,

Novarossi P5X
RB WS7 II
Collari B3 or B7
There are some Ninja engines out now, not sure on the pricing on those tho.
Picco P7-R
O.S. V-Spec

Those are just a few, theres plenty around that are great. My vote is for the Novarossi P5X, I think those are usually around 275.

well i have been doing some searching and found out that alot of people are happpy with novarossi p5-------ws-7--------picco .28 but i am having troubles finding these engine i did however find the picco .28 for 195.95 on rc planet cmon guys let me know what you guys think and if you know where i can find these motors the cheapest links are great

I second ac48's recommendation. Actually the first mill I got was a vspec but after seeing how much trouble people had breaking them in I got a used P5 off ac48 - loved it so much....to the point where I'm getting a P5X (hot mod) for my prospec.

i just said the heck with it and bought a xtm 24/7 from sweet desiel and ill run that for now thanx guys

Actually, OS does warranty the Vspec (I can tell you this from experience). I recieved one with a cracked piston, and sent it back. I recieved a brand new one with no questions asked.

The key is that it has to be from materials or defects in workmanship (put together wrong). However, if it blows up due to being severely over-rich or over-lean, then you're out of luck.

That engine has a terrible history around here. I had to sell one that I was given and got a modified P5x, and a stock p5x. Go with a p5x, the v-spec may have a lot of power but it's life will last you only a few gallons, while a p5x will last a good 10 gallons, plus it's powerband is like floating on.
