for chrismas i got an o.s. maxx .21 vzb v-spec and the Dynamite t-maxx conversion kit for .21-.26 engines. i was wondering if anybody has put a .21 v-spec engine in the t-maxx. the engine is for a 1/8 scale buggy so it would use a starter box, the is no starter box that i know of that can start a t-maxx. any help would be great.

Unlimited Engineering made a .21 conversion kit that was bump box friendly......it's gonna cost some serious coin though....

Yes but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone short of a machinist.....LOL....besides after the wonderful "customer support" (more like customer stroking) I got from HCR I won't recommend their products again.....they basically told me the parts are designed to work w/ 1/10 scale diffs and it was my problem, not theirs.....I want to make a new lower chassis myself so I can say none of it it HCR product.....that's how pissed I am at them....

thank you for all of your help. i think that I'm going to make a custom starter box for my t-maxx.

You might could use a chicken stick.. but I don' think there is room to shove it in there and yank it out.

Or you could take the engine back and get a picco .27.. or O.S. 30 (is it out yet?)

OS .30 has been out for awhile. I have one sitting on my desk.

Sure it can! Pull start, pilot shaft... I think it has the same footprint as a 21 block engine. I had a OS 21 RG-X(P) in my 21 maxx.

Although, that much power may eat your diffs for lunch... 21 maxx's... not my bag.

well i took it back to the hobby shop and then ordered me up an os max .30, i can't wait till i get it!

You will need a new engine mount for a .21 engine (big block), and new exhaust for it as well.
