i have a older o.s. max vzb that i need some parts for.....

i need the crank and rod assmbly.....not the piston sleeve tho....

this is the motor i have:
http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2067.html

as for towerhobbies they say the crank is discontinued but i could substitute the new v-spec crank....i have a v-spec and they do look similar...has anyone done this?....also is it true the vzr rod is the same?...

any help or comments is appreciated....

if ya have some spare parts or a vzb to get rid of ...post here or email me at:

[email protected]

thanks'
Mitch

i knew most of it would interchange...but that stuff new is kinda pricy...

was hoping to find some good used stuff....maybe even a good used motor all together....

That is the VZB I have. Sorry, I like it too much to sell it. Do wish it had a carb restrictor sometimes. It's hard to keep my finger out of it. Any one know if the V-Spec restrictors fit its carb?

You can get good used stuff in the for sale section, Have you looked in there? Id say it's time to come into the light and op to a newer motor. That may be your best option here. But hey I always love the smell of a new motor breakin in :redbuggy:

I have the same engine as well. I LOVE it. Everyone that sees it run asks whats in it. The bottom end just flat out rocks.

How much time / fuel was through her before she quit?
If you look at the price of a new engine thats comparable, new parts arnt a bad option. I'm just wondering what the performance difference will be using V-Spec parts. My time will come soon and need to find the answers to this just as you do.

hey guys,

i think i found a crank for it.....as far as new engines i did just buy a new v spec like 2 weeks ago....i am trying to rebuild this motor for my truggy(mbx4/jt racing)....

fasteddy....i'm not really sure as i acquired this motor over ebay and was told up front it had a new rod put in it but still has slop at TDC....as far as i can tell the crank is flatspotted....i love my v spec and from what i've heard this vzb is not that much different...

os support sent me an email and they stated the the part numbers are different but the parts are identical...the only difference in the vzb and the v-spec are some case drillings w/ black coating and the turbo button/new head design...that applies to the piston/sleeve/crank....the rod is the same as the vzr......so i dont think the performance gain will be that much....

peace,
Mitch

ok i bought another vzb from a guy on rctech and all i need now is a 21 vzb crank to have 3 complete motors....woohooo
