can it be done??

I would like to put one of the .18 cvrs in my revo and was wondering what i would need and if it will fit and be a good engine??

any help is appreciated guys

It's possible, but doesn't work very well. Since the 18CV-R is a side exhaust, it puts the header right against your shock. Then with that, you have to figure out where to run your pipe. I've seen it done in a forum, but I can't find it.

i was thinking of a 90 degree header that would put the exhaust almost in stock location with a spring header i could get it high enough to run stock mounting counldnt i?

I think if you mount the engine, you will see what I mean. I believe you have to put spacers under the engine to get a header that will clear the shock. Even then, it's raising it at the engine angle, so it doesn't help a lot.

If you can weld aluminum and make your own header adapter... then it would be more possible, or better...

If I run across those photo's, I'll post them up.

ok that would be cool but why wouldn't i be able to find/make a header that would clear all that? I'm sure some1 around here has put side exhaust in there revo.

anyone sides olds come on guys someone's tried it

i totally just realized how dumb i am the exhaust prot is on the right and there is no way to make it fit for some reason i thought it was on the left ...duh sorry

Yeah... that's what I was getting at... it "can" be done, but not easily and not very well. If it had been oriented the other way, I would have been one of the many that would have put an OS18CV-R in their revo!
