YEAH! My NTC3 kit arrived today - Man, I'm stoked - its gonna rain all weekend so Perfect for me to build it.
--- Help - I want the OS cv-rx engine, but cannot afford it at the moment, so what should I do? Buy the cv-x? is it that much less powerful? or should I just use my velocity.15 out of my streetforce for now?

I have the cv-x in my NTC3 and it works awsome not the most powerful engine but seriously it will haul arse:bow:

That is the magic question. We could give you suggestions to fit any price range from nice to totally kick ass.

Mugen MT .12 is a HUGE seller for this car. Loved by many! I'm sure anyone here who has had a Mugen will vouch for it. Inexpensive too!

I am looking for an engine for my TC3 also, thought my hpi .12ss would work but the crank is too long, I was looking at the CVRx Os engine, the kit I got is the side exhaust kit so to keep from spending an extra 60 bucks for parts if I got a rear exhaust engine i am sticking to just a side exhaust engine myself.
But if money is an issue just get on of those OS cv engines. until you can get a much better engine later on.
Where is a good place to get that Mugen MT .12?

purchased a Rossi !!

well, it rained all weekend, so aside from the hockey game, i spent all weekend building my NTC3 - and its all done! I ended up going with a trinity Rossi .12 race. Man, what a bear it has been to break in. still havnt had it running for more than about 1 minute. gonna continue to break it in this evening. will post a few pictures in the next couple of days!

Thats a nice engine, I saw one run this weekend and it surprised me, even if it was a short rod engine. I just think it's a bit over priced, for the hp your getting out of it...

moving along nicely - just about broken in - have run 5 tanks of fuel through it, and am starting to lean it out a little bit. Man, what a powerful engine.....and good god!!!! I cannot believe the handling and braking power this NTC3 has compared to my duratrax streetforce!!! I now see why there is a cost difference!

-- As to the cost of the Rossi engine - I do advertising, so I was able to trade some concert tickets that I get for free along with 100.00 for the Rossi, since I am friends with the manager of my LHS. So, I am only in it for 100 bucks.
