Well, I went ot the track yesterday, and traded my Lightning Pro 2 for a NTC3. The chasis has been around a minute, but it was very clean, and in good shape. It also has a modded ( by who I don't know) OS MAX .12TR that looks brand new, and has 4 tanks after breakin. The chasis has alot of hop ups, but I'm still learning about on road so I can't discribe other than factory team pipe, some steering parts, and driveshafts. I'll try to post pics when I can. I'll have to get some practice in before the season starts, and decide if I want to race my MTX-3, or NTC3. How much difference is there in driving shaft drive compared to belt drive? Which engine do you think is better the OS, or the non turbo Mugen/Nova engine the MTX-3 comes with, and will that OS be legal since it is modded?

i like it also how would they know you modded the engine if you when to race does it look different?

I hear they take it apart at some races. Not that I am good enough to worry about it, but what's the good of winning, or placing in a club race if you cheated?

They have the right to disassemble your engine after the race, especially if you won or were doing so much better than the others. If you give them a reason for it, they will put your car through a complete technical inspection.

Really? They can do that? What if they mess the engine up? ARe they responsible?

Yeah, they are responsible. But I know it has happened both in electric and nitro. If it's a very big event, technical inspection is pretty much a given.

As long as it's not more than 3 ports and depends on how extensive the work was done to it. I would look at the rules for that since I am not sure.

I'd have to take it apart, and hope it was obvious since I was just told it was modded when I traded for it. Anyone have a link to the rules?
