I think the lawsuit is bullshit, however I think what NASA did is also bullshit. How much did this dumb ass useless stunt cost us the taxpayers? I'm sure it's in the multi millions of dollars. Now they say it did not "signifigantly" alter the comets orbit. So in essence they are admitting it did alter the comets orbit, and "signifigantly" is a relative term, who knows what the reprocusions from this stupid waste of money will be 1, 5, 10, 20 years down the road. What really was the point of this? Havent we done enough damage to the earth, now we are going to start messing poop up in space too? Is NASA running out of other ways to waste tax dollars?

I think this mission is all good. There is a lot to learn from the data we get back from this project. If nothing else, I hope it did alter the orbit. From the alteration, we can learn what it takes to move an abject like this. Doing the math it will let us know what it would take to divert something coming at the earth. If it has to mess up everyones horoscope then so be it.

First of all I thought horoscopes were based on the stars and planets. Since when did comets come into play.
Secondly, NASA has been orbiting this damn comet for the past 10 months with plans to crash the satellite into it for impact study. If she had a problem with it she should have stepped up and voiced her opinion before they crashed into it.
