I just bought the novak smart stop 4s for my emaxx and i was wondering how I was suppose to hook it up with two batteries?

What esc? I would wire it to the esc since the batteries are joined there. Your esc is paralleling the batteries internally and when connected, you will be reading the average of the batteries voltage.

I am putting it on the stock emaxx esc. I heard that you can connect one end to one wire on one plug and the the other wire on the other plug. It is hard to describe.

I know but they were only open for 1 hour 30minutes two times a day and i wanted to see if you guys have any recommendations.

edit: let me take a look at the emaxx esc first..

ok, you need to solder it to the esc. Red to positive and black to negative. Since the batteries are connected, their voltages will be VERY close so you don't have to worry about one discharging lower than the other. All your esc see's is one big fat 4S lipo. If i was you, i would drive it around and just watch it. Bring it in every 5 minutes and check the voltage. When it starts to get close 12.7V i would just run it around close to you waiting for it to cut off. If you hit 12.3 and its still running then stop. I think its going to work just fine. Also, i am thinking if you are at 12.7 and you nail it, its going to cut off. Hopefully it start turning on and off on you.

Let us know what you find.

edit: i can't find a pic of a stock emaxx esc so i don't know how its wired stock. Whether the batteries terminate into one terminal or of they have seperate terminals. If seperate, you should be able to have one battery connected to one side and then measure 14.8V on the other battery plug.

help

I can't because the new esc is sealed so where the wires come in to the esc are closed in and you can't take it apart. I called novak yesterday and they said to plug the batteries in then take a volt meter and find 14.8 volts using both plug them mount the red on the plug you find and mount the negative on the other plug but he said be careful because you can short it out. or I bought a taxxas series adapter for my two batteries to make them one 4 cell for my charger, I could leave that adapter on and plug in to one plug on the esc and put that lipo cutoff on that one plug but what plug do I plug the battery into to make every thing work? This idea sounds easier, would it work?
