The 3.5 has a 10,500 Kv motor vs the 7700Kv Mamba. The Novak system has less flexibility in terms of cell selection, you are limited to a 2 cell lipo. With the Mamba Max you can run up to 3S without disabling the BEC.

I'd run the Mamba just so that I have the option of running more cells (with a milder motor). Since the Mamba is sensorless, there is a large selection of sensorless motors on the market which makes replacement or up/down grading a little easier. The Mamba is also programmable with your computer. Among other things, there are really cool throttle curves and drag brake adjustments that are easy to make.

What are you trying to accomplish? Max speed for bashing or usable power? Don't forget that speed means nothing without control.

very true, unfortunately I'm not a brushless genious, i currently have a 4.5r and thats pleanty for me, but I've heard that the mamba maxx is pretty good and i was curious to know whos getting better ratings and preferences, i can barely control my car going in a straight line with my 4.5r in my tc4, it tends to get really loose and than just starts flipping =( but i usually drift but i like speeding things up a bit sometimes, thanks for your information

The 4.5R is what I will be putting in my TC4. The 3.5R seemed like a bit much for parking lot racing.
