Picked up a new Novarossi 528XR to throw in my truggy. I thought it came with a standard head button to run regular glow plugs but this one came with a turbo button. Can you swap head buttons with a Novarossi P5X? The bolt pattern is the same but I'd rather not go and pull off the head for no reason if it won't work.

I doubt it...a .21 and a .28 most likely have a signifigantly different bore. I bet it would run with the P5 head, but I think the compression ratio would go down because of the space between the sleeve and the head button around the sides. I could be wrong but thats my understanding.

I know my friend ran a .15 head in his .18 and it ran ok...but I think thats a lot less of a difference than a .21 to .28.

I checked the nova website and the .28 with standard head button is a different p/n than a .21 with standard head button. Thanks
