I'm confused, been wearing out the search button. Pulled out the Jato for a parking lot run today and I noticed it wont wheelie? I havnt ran it in about a week so I adjusted the HSN. After some adjustment its really singing, seems to be running good but just can't get it to wheelie. Tried adjusting the slipper clutch, got a little better result out of it but it will only wheelie if I hit a small bump. I have never adjusted the LSN. Could this be my problem? I've only ran about a 1 1/2 quarts through then engine since new, including break in. Am I missing something here?

1 1/2 QUARTS since new including break-in???? Man, your rig is nowhere near broken in. My guess is the mill is already wearing out. Bad ju-ju...

Sure dont. Any suggestions on a thermometer? Maybe I have a traction problem, it will get squirley when it shifts into second but no wheelie. Rear tires are new.

Your right. Could just be a traction issue. I know with mine when I had an OS18TM in it, I only got wheelies when running sticky tires. Frankly, it's annoying.

I busted that engine (cracked crankcase) and went back to the 2.5 and now run 17mm buggy wheels/tires. Wheelies are pretty much gone and it handles much differently. If I punch it with street tires on the pavement, it just spins the tires, but still goes pretty good. If I run an aggressive tread in the grass, I still get wheelies though.

So I should try tuning it to temp then? I'm almost glad the "uncontrollable wheelies" are gone but I want my rigs full potential.

I know I'm full of "newb" questions so excuse me in advance. The guys at the hobby shop are really unhelpful to say the least. I threw on a new set of anacondas on the back because the first set went bald after the first weekend, lol. The only option the guys at my local hobby shop said my only choices of tires are anacondas, stampede wheels and tires or nobbies. Does this sound right? I've been checking ebay and can't really find much, any recomendations for an online rc parts store?

For tuning, using temperature is a tool in your "tuning arsenal". Temp, sound, smoke, performance. Those are all things you tune with/for. Usually temp is used a lot for break-in purposes to avoid overheating or under heating an engine. It's then used for reference to make sure your within a safe range throughout a day.

As for tires, pretty sure pro-line and imex also have tires to fit stock jato rims...

Here's a list of imex 2.8 tires:
http://www.imexrc.com/servlet/the-Tires-cln-2.8-Tires/Categories

Pro-line notes them as "30 series":

You can find pro-lines at www.towerhobbies.com. Imex you can buy from the site I linked to above or via google.

Sounds like your LHS may only "carry" a couple of choices, but rest assured, there are many choices out there. ;)
