Hey Guys,

Can you believe that some writer in Chicago denied Ripken, and Gwynn a unanamous vote to the hall based on the fact that they played in what he called "The Steroid era" --1994 to 2004 and he can't with clear consious vote for anybody that played in that era. So he cast a blank ballot. What a jerk... he just wanted his 5 seconds of fame. Ripken and Gwynn are two of the best of all time, and I think worthy of a unanomous vote. What an arse!

I just read this guy's article. What a tool. By his rationale, we can expect he won't cast votes for shoe-ins like Roger Clemens or Derek Jeter (you know he's going!). Why? He's taken "guilt by association" to the extent that he has condemned the entire league. Yeah, McGwire won't go this year. And frankly, I doubt he'll ever make it unless he can find a way to kill the suspicions around him. Bonds? Probably not unless he can do the same. But this guy is holding the entire league accountable? Nice. Hey Paul, if you don't like baseball, start a curling blog. On the upside, this wanker's psychosis won't keep Ripken or Gwynn from getting in. They'll be there this year. So thank you Paul Ladewski for not voting. Just shows how entirely insignificant your vote was.

My thoughts exactly. Like I was telling a friend of mine.... 9 out of 10 is unanamous in my book if the 10th man doesn't vote. Ripken and Gwynn like you said will be in the hall their first go round... but of all the guys before them that deserved the unanamous vote, these two guys are one of the most deserving. IMO of course.

I think McGwire should have made it in. He never broke any NLB rules, but he is being punished regardless.

Its hard for me to believe that Mcguire did not take any steroids. Him and Bonds look huge.

As for the Gwynn and Ripken, I think the guy is off his rocker. Just another way to cast doubt into peoples minds. I don't see how an entire decade pretty much is bad. Talk about generalizing! Can we just about say that since the tabloids came out, accurate news is not that great anymore since the start of tabloids?

Take your head out of your butt guy.

He did take steroids, but at the time the particular steroids tested positive for were not banned by Major League Baseball.

Hey Guys.... Ripken and Gwynn are in... no surprise... Ripken took 98.5% of the vote... 3rd best all time. Gywnn... 97.6 Not too bad! Goosage 71.2 just shy of the 75% to get in.... Big Mac.... 23.5 well short.
