So I just picked up a 1:18 Chevy Colorado and I have only had it a week and now for some reason when going forward only the front tires are spinning and not the back
When I go reverse all four are spinning like it should. This is my first "real" RC car/truck so I'm kinda at a loss. Any tips on what to do or check?

Welcome to RCTalk forum.

Welp, may as well start digging into that driveline to investigate what has busted/stripped. Work your way in from the wheels looking at the wheel hexes/pins. Logically, I would concentrate on the rear differential area.

The manual does not show the sun/planet gears inside the diffs, but I'm sure they're in there.

Welcome to RCT!

As Rusty said, I would suspect the gears in the diff. But it could be a number of things. It's strange it goes in reverse, but that could be some shrapnel somewhere catching on a sharp edge on one side of a gear tooth, where the other side is tapered, and pushes it out of the way. You'll only know after you tear it down.

Find some exploded views for your RC and get to wrenching.
