no exhaust

On Most nitro RCs the exhaust is what feeds pressure into the fuel tank to provide a constant feed of fuel to the engine. With no Exhaust pipe at all, your engine would probably run very lean. While you may see a slight performance upgrade your engine life will suffer greatly.

lol - I always love this question. The first time mine fell off (or at least the coupler came apart) the performance was INSANE! I loved it! I was like damnnnnnnnnnnn! Who needs this!

Then, I went online and everyone told me NO NO NO NO NO! BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!

And yup, they are all right!

Also, the backpressure generated by the pipe helps to regulate the flow of the fuel/air mixture through the combustion chamber. The way an RC engine is timed, there is a moment where the intake ports and the exaust port are open simultaneously. If there is no pipe, more of the unburnt air/fuel mixture will escape the chamber. This will generally reduce the power and efficiency of the engine...

Is this a Vous ja day? Try this, unhook the pressure line and try running it. Wait, I'll save ya the trouble since I had this happen to me today. It will idle ok, midrange will be a bit lacking, but the high end will suck since it will be running insanely lean. Now you could retune the needles to get it to maybe run right, but here's the kicker, it will be ear shatteringly loud without the pipe. So loud that you probably won't be able to think strait. Then the cops show up, or your buddies would start to get annoyed after about 5 minutes.

Also, pipes ARE NOT mufflers. They are designed to increase the power output of an engine.

Ask NitroAddict, he likes to run with his pipe disconnected.... lol

j/k, not a good idea...
