it would be really loud, run really hot, really lean, and burn up the engine quickly.

It probably wouldn't run considering that you need the pressure from the line on the exhaust for your fuel supply right? I've never done it, no reason to.

It can be done without the pressure line from the pipe. The engine needs to be richened though. And it will be ungodly loud.
