Nitro vs electric (newbie)

Racing nitro is much more competitive, because you have to tune your engine. There are ways to "tune" electrics, but it's nothing like nitro. Ever tried to land a 30' jump with a brushless? It's hard.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon here as well. When I'm tired of using the temp gun and setting up my gear for a nitro run, then I'll break out the electrics or in my case the new baja:D. It's nice to have a diversified fleet for the above reasons. Also noise is not an issue for me either which is a huge plus. However I will never give up nitro unless were talking 60 bucks a gallon for fuel.

Are there any good tracks or bashing spots in Buffalo?

There a couple of places to bash in wny. I know for sure the town of amherst does not like the noise of rcs. The town I live in is pretty good about the noise.
