I think Chubaka sent link. $60 for a header alone is crazy IMO though. Google a stock tmaxx header on a 2.5 it might be cheaper. I think that’s what I used on carbon fiber pipe
I’ll just get that one it’s alright do you know any good driveshafts because I have the plastic ones and should my gears be that tight where I like push it it stops like the brakes are on maybe they could be on idk tbh bc my thrtolle linkage isn’t setup the best

I did those rustler builds over 20 years ago. I used MIP but I a don’t know if they even still around

Need a header pipe that will face to the front. Use a stock pipe hanger. May have to bend it some to work. Or cut a metal coat hanger. May could cut header u have and make it work
Can that header just simply be flipped over to the outlet points forward? Then mount the muffler to the side of the chassis like most other traverse-mounted engines?

If not, you could always cut the header itself just before it turns outward, and mount the muffler side-saddle on the chassis.

There's always trying an exhaust system like this if you'd rather not cut the header:

If they're available, you might be able to find a MIP Stinger set-up, which would mount up and direct the exhaust out the rear, like on my Nitro Hawk. It would take some work on the rear shock tower (which I think comes with the MIP set-up), but the Traxxas engines have the exhaust 90 degrees CCW from the OS Max engines - so that might not work.

Hope that helps!

Do you know the factory settings for this engine because it is brand new

I have another question I have a dynamite .19 but it’s kinda sludgy I have it on my tmaxx it doesn’t run the best and do you have any clue what I could put a servo on I have a really fast expensive servo I have a revon3.3 slayer and rustler and tmaxx what should I put it on you think or just get rid of it I currently have it on my tmaxx but my tmaxx doesn’t really go the best

They way you currently have it looks quite cool to me, just cut the body a bit and bend some 2mm metal rod to keep the exhaust in place so it won't touch the tires or suspension

My nitro experience is just limited to OS18. And TRX 2.5. And that was 2 decades ago. lol. If it seems that sluggish it may need a rebuild. I’d do a search on that specific motor

Not a clue. Tuning the carb is a bit of a fine science, and whatever works for one should work for all. That engine looks far from 'brand new,' given the damage to the head (been on it's lid at speed in a parking lot at least once). I'd want to know if the engine's been properly broken in (4-tank method, at least), and then get that exhaust sorted out. What did you decide to do about that, anyway?
