I bought a RedCat racing Tornado S30 RC. Engine's been broken in with about 1/2 a quart of fuel. I noticed though that the engine spits out a lot of fuel from the exhaust when accelerating. Also I don't feel that the RC is hitting it's top speed anymore.

I did adjust the idle and high/low needle settings but I probably did it incorrectly. The tires don't spin when the RC is idling so idle should be good. Any ideas?

lean out HSN, only slightly till u see a drop in performance then richen 1/8-1/4 turn and leave it. also make sure temp isnt getting too high,

Thanks, those links really helped, I'll check it out this week.

One question is I did unbolt the head from the engine when it was almost impossible to pull. I thought it had seized (turned out the pull start jammed). As long as the engine still runs, I put the head back on right? It doesn't seem too hard to put back on but I know on cars, loose heads leads to overheating.

Well I'm still waiting on replacement glow plugs for the engine. Is there any reason that my glow plug failed prematurely? The car did several flips and crashes so could that be the reason?

Looking at the glow plug, the filament is silver and it looks like new. If you look closely though, you can tell where it snapped.

What's the best glow plugs to get? I use 20% nitro fuel. The replacement plugs I bought are hot plugs but I read somewhere that cold plugs may do better for the engine.
