Hi,

my nitro rc car for does not want to drive straight anymore. This happeneds after I had a little crash with into the pavement.

Is there an adjustment setting i can use to correct it ?

sorry i am a serious noob

Thats kinda to vague of a question. Little more info, what rig is it? If nothings broken on the rig, then you might just need to adjust the 'Steering Trim' on the radio one way or the other.

We need to know what model it is and what happened with your "little crash". You may have a bent shaft or something broken that you may not have noticed. Give it a good once over and check.

Hi,

I have a Carson stormracer extreme pro - 10th scale nitro buggy.
The crash was more of a flip over. The curb was a slight incline made of Tarmac but where it inclined there was some rock jutting out. When I hit it the car flipped and landed on it's head. Was going probably around 20km. Looking at the car the base chassis in the front has a definitive mental grind, like i took a hammer to it. I don't see any parts missing tho.
Now when I accelerate hoping to go in a straight line, the car veers to one side.

Hope that better, I haven't tried steering trim, will give it a whirl.

Well taking a hammer to a rc car is never w good sign hehe. If I was you i'd my toe in and out settings and my camber. For that some tools will be required. I'm assuming your somewhere in Europe cause your using km insteadof miles so hop on eBay or go to your closest hobby shop and invest into some suspension tools.

Should fix the problem. If the wheels hit the pavement hard enough you could've bent the ends which hook up to your shock tower and your hub. Check the whole suspension out piece by piece thoroughly and if everything seems fine its alignment time.

Sounds like you tweaked the chassis a bit. Just make the damaged side look like the undamaged side via camber and toe adjustments.:)

Most likely tweaked the deck (chassis). If it is noticable enough you can often take the front diff/suspension off the CAREFULLY straighten the deck with pliers or even using a vice on your bench. I've done it to one my HPI MT2 nitro trucks that was the same problem. Crashed, and then always pulled to the right. Took it down to the deck up front and could see the bend in it. Straightened it and then got the last hair of adjustment out with the steering trim. Steers fine now...

HTH...
