If you run nitro, people are going to notice. How are your neighbors with your hobby?

We moved into our neighborhood in Dec. When I introduced myself I "warned" them about my hobby and let them know to please come reach out if they ever find it a bother. We only run between 6:30-7:00 pm--but they are ALL aware of what my son and I do. ;-) It's a scene and you know when we're running!

We are fortunate in that all our neighbors are VERY cool with it. In fact, three (maybe four) of our them are getting into the hobby. We are 40-something year old men having a blast with rc remote control cars! My son and I are the only nitro ones, but one of them is going to get a Savage (he wants to wrench!. I'm trying to convert them all to nitro.

Are your neighbors pretty cool with it?

I live a quite cul-de-sac and my neighbors seem to be ok with it, I don't run early mornings (not before 9:30) or late at night, and only 1 or 2 tanks at a time. Lately I've had a little audience as I've been running up and down the street.

Lol i was running my tmaxx and jado just fine i live in a condo. BUT when i took out my lx2 1/8 scale buggy a guy came out yelling at me. I didnt reply with the same tone as i know my buggy is loud as heck. With stock pipe.

I'm not running nitro at the moment, but I haven't ran on my street in a about 2 years. But my reason isn't the neighbors would be upset about noise or it's a nuisance, my street is a gravel road. On acceleration and just running at a faster speed the gravel would fly everywhere and hit the cars as most people park on the boulevard in front of their house. I wouldn't want that happening to my car so I'm not going to do it to others.

Last time I ran on my street was when I was breaking in my losi aftershock.

I'm pretty lucky. I live on a road about 1/2 mile paved next door to a bulb shed, and an employee of the bulb farm. He likes to play with his four wheelers at all hours of the day and night, so I'm allowed to make lots of noise too.

:)

So far their dogs don't care much for my little car.

When I used to run my Revo 3.3 at the house, I never had a problem. Same thing with my Baja 5b. Like others mentioned, I never ran very early or after dark. I, too, used to draw an audience. Now that I live in an apartment, I don't have the space to run the Revo or the Baja 5b at home.

I occasionally will run in my cul-de-sac at a decent hour just to test something but not often. The way it’s positioned the road is much lower than the houses and the sound gets trapped and echo’s.
Most of my nitro stuff is just too loud and will even annoy me after a few wot passes at home.

Luckily there’s a big church parking lot that almost always empty except for Wed/Sun for break-in and an Off-road, On-road and Oval track about 2 miles from my house.

I never have any problems with folks. I think it helps that I live next to a railroad track. So we are used to a bit of noise.

There's also a new development/subdivision with a huge loop about 1/2 mile down the road. It's been there for about 2 years and no houses built on it yet. I can't wait to get my rustler working well enough to run some laps.

Muahahahha

:hehe::first_place:

I've never had an issue & lived in a few different places but no complaints so far.
I always run nitro & always through the day, not to early or late. I don't think they are really to much louder than a brush cutter or 2 stroke lawn mower but if someone did have a problem then I would talk to them & if babies etc were sleeping then I would stop.
If I'm not breaking any laws though & the neighbours are just trying to be smart**ses then I won't take there crap & will explain to them its not illegal, well nor here in Australia anyway. Most of the time people are more interested in watching & also ask questions, the younger kids always like them so I normally drive my buggy slowly past to give them a better look, puts a smile on their face.
