I discovered my old TRAXXAS Nitro Hawk while i was searchin for stuff to sell. it was my first and its still in great shape, like brand new. maby a gallon through it. what I'm gona do to it-

-RC10GT Tranny in(because it has disc breaks)
-upgrade steering servo, probly a Hi-tec 645
-Megatech .16
-Traxxas t-maxx flywheel and clutch assembly
-T-maxx engine mount
-HPI Nitro RS4 2 pipe and header
-and rearranging and drillin some new holes.

also somethin i might try is putting a RC10GT complete Rear end in, brand new, depending on how cheap i get it.

pic will be coming tomorrow some time.

I accidentally bought a clutch bell for the nitro hawk, if yours still uses the NH clutch bell, your welcoem to this 20 toother for nothing. SHippings got to be cheap lol. It won't fit on my maxx :) go figure..

If you want it, PM me your addy and i'll send it out to ya.

I've been looking for one on ebay all i found was some not ready to run

u decide to sell urs let me know

well mine isnt RTR either, its all apart right now but i think i got all the original parts. i bought my nitro hawk brand new off eBay for $150 some time ago. they are a pretty cool little truck, decent power from the TRX .12 engine and pretty tuff too. but the original brake set up sucks(drum brakes) so I'm stickin a RC10GT trany in that has disc brakes.

no thanks, i still got all the original nitro hawk parts. I'm going to use t-maxx clutch and flywheel assembly so i can use a short shaft engine.

Did some work today. placed the different parts on the chassis, then drilled some holes. put some stuff together. and found out what parts i had to order because they were worn out or i didnt have them.

This is what it looked like when i started

This is as far as i could go until i get my parts i need-
normal_Nitro%20Hawk%20004.jpg

the front tires are Pro-Line M2 compound Blades(brand new)
the rear tires are Pro-Line M2 compond Gladiators(brand new)

the parts i need-
Nitro stampede flywheel, Nitro stampede clutch nut, Nitro stampede clutch shoes, 5X11mm bearings, FM crystal set, Nitro stampede/rustler rear bearing carrier, Foam elements for motor saver air filter, RPM front bumper, fuel filter. The original t-maxx and nitro stampede and nitro rustler flywheel and clutch assembly are the same. but the nitro stampede stuff is cheaper. :)

next pic to come is my nitro hawk with RC10GT a-arms and turnbuckles. kind of having a slight problem with the installing the RC10GT tranny though. :hammer: But the RC10GT a-arms added 1/2" on both sides, so my nitro hawk is a full 1" wider on each side.
