I have an Exceed Rc Hyper Speed 1/10th scale nitro buggy. The buggy is fairly new, and something is wrong with the clutch, the clutch bell is silver and toward the back, (opposite of the gear) is discolored, i was told that was ok, but the actual clutch is making a grinding like noise. I took clutch bell off today and looked at the clutch, but nothing looked wrong.

I desperatly need help!

Anyone know how to fix it?

Thank You!

Check and make sure your shoes are not melted or severely worn and make sure the springs are ok.

my clutch is white, and there was some black streaks on 1 side, but the spring was fine.

Being that it's a cheap Exceed, check your clutch bell bearings to make sure one hasn't shot craps already and check that there is proper clearance from the flywheel and spur gear.
A little discoloration is no big deal but the noise could be.

so i looked at the clutch again and found out that the black streeks were dirt build up causing the clutch bell to grind on the dirt, so i took a 400 grit sand paper and sanded off the dirt, then i used a 600 grit sand paper to smoothen everything out.
