i bought a tamiya 2000mah nicd pack. for my ez start on my revo. my question is should i discharge it? if so how do i do it? i have a charger/discharger that was given to me. its a Cermark CH-110 delta peak.

thanks
jason

Discharge it every 2-3 charge. Set your charger to discharge mode and discharge it untol its done. Don't overdischarge it.

Yes you should discharge the pack, if you don't it will start to build up a memory in the cells giving you less and less charge, when you discharge it a good rule of thumb with nicd and nimh packs is 0.9 volts per cell or 5.4 volts for a 6 cell pack, if you have a volt meter or your charger has a digital read out just stop discharging it when it reaches 5.4 volts, I would probly discharge it at like 5 amps, hope this helps...

This is a NiCd, not NiMH, and it needs to be discharged every time. NiCd will build a memory really quick, which is one of the reasons that NiMH is so much better. Definitely discharge it fully before each charge.
