That is puuuuurdy! Nice work! The detail on the taz is awesome! How long it take ya to mask it out and paint it? Time paid off. Nice work!

whats up!! I'm the guy he did the taz body for and it looks gr8. hes doing two more for me just like the taz 1 with the same design for the 1/10 adam drake and the hot bodies lightning stadium pro. i can't wait , when i get them from him I'm going to take a pic of all 3 together and post them on here.if you need bodies i highly recommend {candyman}. thanks for the gr8 work
 
Thanks muscle-head. The 2 new ones are in the final stages. I hand painted the taz tonight so all that's left is the flames. I've had a ball with these and I have to say the truck bodies look even better. I can't wait to see what they all look like mounted on their rides!
 
nice work,what kind of paint do you use?air brush?pressure?,i am kind of a aspiring artist myself,or i try any ways,always looking for new ideas..keep up the good work
 
This scheme has taken a fair amount of work for me since I'm not the most overly skilled artist here. The paints are all Faskolor or Createx which are essentially the same. I tend to spray them between 20 and 40 psi depending on the color and how much coverage I need. I tend to use higher pressures to cover more area and lower pressure for finer misting. I may not be doing that right, but it seems to work for me. The Taz is outlined using a black opaque paint pen then I hand painted the colors into it. For equipment I'm currently using a Paasche VL hooked to my Campbell/Hausfeld 13 gal compressor. But the funds I'm getting from this set will help me get a new Iwata Revolution HP-C airbrush. I just have a feeling my VL has been through too much and isn't doing exactly what it should.
 
Candyman, I am actually having problems with my vl too. I had to fall back on my old aztec when I did my last body. I was going to try and fix it but I may just invest in a new brush.
 
I hear ya. I don't know what's going on. My paint flow is sucking right now. I'm getting spatters and the misting really blows. I keep trying to get a nice, fine mist for shading and I just can't get the brush to do it anymore. Plus the trigger is sticking and giving me fits. I have cleaned everything I can, but I just hate that I can't get any further in to clean. I've heard great things about the Iwata brushes and the Rev HP-C is pretty affordable at Dixie Art. Gravity feed with a built in color cup with lid. I don't know how many times I've spilled paint into a body when holding the brush at an angle...
