Simple question.........I put my antenna in the tubing on my xxx-t and first of all it doesn't seem to want to lock into place on the chassis and also what do I do with all of the excess?? I looked at alot of pictures of them and people seem to wrap them around the outside of the tubing over and over....should I do that??? And should I glue it down or something??? Thanks for helping a newbie!

On the XXX try using some fuel tubing to secure the antenna tube. I forgot if I used it on the top of the base where the tube slided in or underneath the base. You may need to use a small section of tubing both above and below the base. Get creative.

As far as the extra wire, use an antenna cap and wrap the additional around the outside of the tube and secure it with some black tape.

For the extra wire, I just let about 2-3 inches come out of the end of the tube, then I just wrap the rest of it by the receiver.

You can do this as well however, it "may" reduce the reception distance.
