i wanted to get the new 800$ revo with the brushless mamba motor for some time and now that taxes are going to be here in a little while...(next 4 days... i hope) and i here a couple different things about it not being waterproof and i was wondering if i need to waterproof the servo or the actual motor? again i also herd that if the motor gets close to water it is going to mess up. and if its even possible to get the motor to be waterproof? sorry for the paragraph but i thank you guys ahead of time for reading it :D

The mamba monster system is not waterproof. The motor should be fine around water, it's the esc you need to be concerned about.I have heard of some guys using plasti-dip to waterproof their esc's. I for one have tried it with bad results and would not recommend it, but for others it has worked.

I believe most will tell you that the electronics may be WATER RESISTANT but not fully waterproof to where you should sumberge them under water by any means. However the mamba monster ESC isn't water resistant from the factory. But I would suggest after spending almost 700 on a rig you should probably try to avoid going through anything more then a puddle to protect your investment. I also say 700 even though you mentioned 800 because it is 690 on tower with their 50 dollar off deal going on right now but will be closer to 1000 after you purchase Lipos and a charger and extra things you will need as well.

what do you sugets for a charger? i dont want to wait like an hr to have it charge the faster the better in my opinion anks for everything u guys can offer

This is the charger i use its a great charger it does all kinds of batteries, http://www.ebay.com/itm/THUNDER-AC6...Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0dc787f9 when it comes to any battery you can only charge so fast and with lipos if you charge them at to high of an amp rating for faster charge time could cause a nasty lipo fire. IMO take your time when charging any battery you get more life out of what you pay so much for. I usually charge and balance my lipos at 0.5 amp to 1.0 amp whether its a 3,000 mah or a 5,000 mah.

this is the one I use and it comes with the balance boards and does Nicd, Nimh and lipos. Also you can use this in the field by hooking it up to your car battery as a power supply. The new dynamite sport duo is supposed to be really nice but I think it may be only for Lipos. But yes as KTM said you must be careful and smart about charging your lipos and storing them. Getting an ammo can off ebay is the best thing to store them and charge them in, but a fire proof lock box or lipo sack is fine as well. You must never leave a battery unattended when charging or discharging.

KTM I believe 1.0 amp is the safest way to go when charging but I believe from what I have learned on this site you could safely charge a 5000mah pack at 5.0 and a 3000mah at 3.0 if you were in a rush. IMO lipos are not batteries to be impatient about but I have seen guys at a track start charging them 5 minutes after they have ran down and charging them at 2 times what they should be charged at. So yea use them in a race, then bring them in after and they are dead enough that low voltage cutoff has reached a point to where the battery doesn't have enough juice to operate the car, then not even let them sit to cool down and 5 minutes later charging a 2000 mah pack at 4.0 amps. Not a good idea in my mind I always let them sit at least and hour whether its a lipo or Nimh and always charge ALL batteries at 1.0 amps.

LiPos can be charged at 1c. That means that if your capacity is 5000 mAH then you can charge at 5 amps with no problems.
