I'll get right to the point. What does the # indicate in nitro engines? Is it displacement or something else.

My knowledge is pretty minimal. I got ripped off when I thought I was buying an engine for my Duratrax Streetfoce GP (which originally has a .15) and a .21 came in. So at least I know that one won't fit the other, since the shaft sizes are different.

Also, what am I looking at as far as used .15 engines go? I am looking at very basic setups, so no competition stuff in mind. Thanks for the help.

the .15 means cubic inch's same with the .12,.18,.21 and so on it just refers to cubic inch's.
But some engines use cubic centimeters like the traxxas TRX which is a 2.5 cc but it is also a .15.

I would definetely suggest an O.S. .18 CV-RX. ImBroken has it linked, its the second one. They are at a great price right now, definetely pick one up.

I aggree with AC48 and ImBroken. The O.S. .18 CV-RX is a great engine. A friend of mine got one a while back. It is a screamer, and runs great. Plus you can't beat the price. Anyways thats just my 2 cents.
