joey, for now I'm sticking with the stock engine. I'm gonna get the thing together first. I'm sure I will end up going with a bigger engine eventually. Heck, I was planning on sticking with the 2.5 Maxx for a good six months. Well a month after I start driving it and upgrading it, I decided it was already time to do a big block conversion, which led to the savage for two reasons: A.) I wanted a stronger truck that would support the power better. B.) I really wanted a kit because I knew that would keep me busy for a while. I have this bad habbit when I'm not busy of upgrading and it gets expensive!
oh and yes, I think I will be getting a three speed very soon into the build.

I'm the same way Charlie... after a long winter cold snap... I've spent more on my RC's this winter not driving them than I did all last season bashing them! Nickels and dimes add up pretty quick... DAMN YOU EBAY and YOUR OFF SEASON DEALS!!!
