newb mistake?

mine was stripped too and it was stuck at WOT. i still managed to pinch the line. its either that or let your motor burn out. putting the resonator back on will probably work but its just easier to pinch the line.

i didnt trust gettin that close to a motor zingin rpms like that.

if the pipe came off you could've hit the flywheel, just use a rag when you do it

I had my 3.3 out today.Well,everything was ok till i had a pretty nasty wreck. The resonator pipe fell off. Me being stupid couldnt figure out how to shut the truck off,i should of just put the pipe back on! Well the truck starts rpm'ing reallllyyy high(no backpressure i guess?),so i tried to choke it off with a rag,that didnt work. Well the truck finally shut itself off. It stripped the gear that go from the motor to the tranny it looks like,on the tranny side. Luckily i did'nt seem to hurt the motor zingin the rpms like that! Scared me to death!

my brother burnt his out like this after crashing while tryin to show off for some little kids. myself i have dont this many times to count and i freaked me out and scared me half to death thinkin i was gonna burn my new motor again. i felt stupid after so many times looking at the fuel line clamp as a stupid object. from now on i will use this as a humor and intellectual study. put locktite on all screws around motor and exaust mounts.!!!!! lol
